England have beaten Australia to reach the Cricket World Cup final for the first time since 1992.

England hammered Australia by eight wickets at Edgbaston in Birmingham, finishing 226-2.

England’s top men Joe Root and Eoin Morgan put the game to bed, scoring 49 and 45 runs respectively.

New Zealand await England on Sunday at Lords, after the Black Caps beat India in dramatic fashion on Wednesday afternoon.
