The Duchess of Cambridge attended the first annual gala dinner in recognition of Addiction Awareness Week.

Kate, who is the patron of Action on Addiction, delivered a speech to celebrate the work of the charity.

The 37-year-old wore a long sleeved off the shoulder white dress by Barbara Casasola paired with glittering Jimmy Choo heels and blue topaz and diamond hoop earrings.

The Duchess who is known for recycling her outfits wore the dress before in 2016 when she presented the Art Fund Museum of the Year prize.

Ahead of the dinner, she chatted to former Action Addiction clients who worked to prepare the food for the evening’s dinner.

In her speech, she recognised the great work the charity is doing to support families and children affected by addiction.

Earlier in the day the Duchess launched a competition with the CBBC programme Blue Peter asking children to design a sculpture for her Back To Nature garden.

Kate will appear in a special episode to be aired on Thursday, 13 June in the UK in which she takes part in pond dipping, planting and team den building with local children and presenter Lindsey Russell.
