The burglar must have been out of his New York state of mind.

Someone reportedly broke into a Long Island home belonging to singer Billy Joel and damaged a dozen of his motorcycles.

A home on Centre Island was burgled over the weekend, Nassau County police said Tuesday. The burglar broke the garage door and damaged 12 motorcycles and vandalized an office in the home.

The home belonged to the legendary “Piano Man” singer, according to TMZ.

Joel is a well-known lover of motorcycles. He has a garage in Oyster Bay called 20th Century Cycles, which builds custom-made retro motorcycles and also displays classic rides.

Authorities said the intruder broke into the home at some point between 3:30 p.m. on Saturday and 8:15 a.m. Monday.

Anyone with information is asked to call Nassau County Crime Stoppers at (800) 244-TIPS.

All calls will remain anonymous.
