Cowboys swap picks with Eagles to draft coveted Wisconsin center Tyler Biadasz

The Dallas Cowboys kept it in the family as they potentially replaced the retired Travis Frederick with another center from Wisconsin in Tyler Biadasz with their second pick in the fourth round.

Biadasz clearly was a talent the team didn’t want to miss out on as they traded up with the rival Philadelphia Eagles to select Biadasz with the 146th overall pick.

The Cowboys gave up one of their two fifth-round picks to the Eagles to move up in the draft. They also gave up a fifth-round pick in the 2021 draft.

“I tried molding my game after him,” Biadasz said of Frederick. “I’m looking forward to continuing what he did at Dallas.”

Biadasz should follow in his fellow Badger Frederick’s footsteps nicely. He was a unanimous All-American in his final season with Wisconsin and won the Rimington Trophy — given to the country’s top center.

Biadasz started at center in all 41 games of his Wisconsin career.

The Cowboys took Biadasz after taking cornerback Reggie Robinson II with their first pick in the fourth round.
