Hello, from Adele!
On her 32nd birthday, the “Rolling in the Deep” hit-maker returned to Instagram for the first time in several months to salute those on the front lines of the pandemic and thank her fans “for the birthday love.”
“I hope you’re all staying safe and sane during this crazy time,” the singer posted Tuesday, along with a photo of herself smiling from home in a little black dress and heels.
“I’d like to thank all of our first responders and essential workers who are keeping us safe while risking their lives! You are truly our angels.”
Several stars — including Lil Nas X, Andy Cohen, Chrissy Teigen, Jameela Jamil, Questlove and Rita Wilson — celebrated the Grammy winner on her big day in the comment section with supportive messages.
Many showered the “Hello” artist with compliments, calling her “beautiful,” “sexy” and “absolutely stunning.”
“Sending you so much love!” Wilson wrote. “Looking gorgeous!”
The photo marks Adele’s first Instagram activity of 2020, after sharing only a handful of snaps to her grid last year. For her last birthday post in 2019, the singer-songwriter vowed to “feel the world around me and look up for once,” while encouraging her followers to “put your phone down and laugh out loud at every opportunity.”
“I’ve changed drastically in the last couple years and I’m still changing and that’s okay,” she wrote back then. “31 is going to be a big ol’ year and I’m going to spend it all on myself.”
It’s been even longer since she released her third and latest studio album, “25,” in 2015. Here’s hoping a “32” is on the way.
Adele is one of several in the music community raising awareness and expressing gratitude for front-line heroes amid the coronavirus crisis. Many of her peers — from Justin Bieber to Beyonce — also have shown their support in the form of social media messages, PSAs, charity singles and live performances from the safety of their homes.
Last month, a slew of artists — including Lady Gaga, Elton John, Billie Eilish, Taylor Swift and Jennifer Lopez — took part in Global Citizen’s “One World: Together at Home” virtual concert, while several others lent their talents to the star-studded 24-hour livestream “The Call to Unite” for coronavirus relief.
